The Prophet story

The Prophet (ﷺ) was an extremely loving and affectionate person. He could not bear to see anyone in pain. He had overflowing love for orphans. In the pre-Islamic days women and slaves used to lead miserable lives. He helped them and insisted that everyone be kind to them. He was kind to animals as well. He exhorted people to treat animals well, for they could not express their needs. He asked people to fear Allah regarding animals’ rights and not to oppress them, as good treatment of animals will bring Allah’s reward.
Narrated Abdullah bin Mas’ud (): “We were on a journey with the Prophet (ﷺ), and he left us for a while. While he was away, we saw a bird with her two young and took her chicks. The mother bird was circling above us in the air, beating her wings in grief, when the Prophet (ﷺ), came back and said: “Who has hurt this bird by taking her chicks? Return them to her.” (Muslim)
