WHEN PRAYER IS NOT ALLOWED:

Noprayer of any kind is to be offered at the following times:

1. From first sunrise until the sun is fully risen.

2. From the time when the sun is directly over the head until it declines.

3. From the time when there is yellowness in the sun until sunset.

The exceptions are: one may offer (that day’s) ‘Asr Prayer after the sun has turned yellow, so as not to miss it. A funeral Prayer may be offered at that time if essential.

*When it is undesirable to offer Nafl Prayer:*

1. Offering more than two Sunnah Rakah after tuloo’ fajr.

2. Soon after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises in full.

3. Soon after Asr Prayer until sunset.

4. On Friday when Imam starts delivering his sermon until Friday Prayer.

5. After ‘Eid Prayer at the same place as it was offered.

6. When engaging in Nafl Prayer might result in missing an obligatory one.
